Hello good people and welcome to Tech-Bitz.com - The geek site for people are aren’t geeks and don’t want to be.
About the Author:
If you have been reading Tech-Bitz for very long, or just found us, you have probably been wondering “exactly who is that man behind the curtain?”.
My name is Todd and I am a full time Computer Technician, part time student and first time blogger.
I originally started this blog in order to help the people I was already assisting with their computer problems: Friends, Family/Relatives, Co-Workers, Small Business Owners, and other clients.
As I was helping people that I come into daily contact with, I realized that I was basically answering the same questions over and over again, and running into the same problems time after time.
I also realized that there are not that many sites on the web that discuss technology in terms that people that don’t eat, breathe and live for technology can easily understand.
What Tech-Bitz.com is all about.
When I first started this blog it was to answer those most common questions and provide a place for my friends, family, etc. to come to for all their computer and technology related issues, that way I could help all of them at the same time.
As I was developing this blog however, I realized that there was was an entire Internet Community of people I could help. Given my experience as a helpdesk technician and student of Networking Security and System Administration I could employ those skills and knowledge and help everyone who has questions like the ones I have been asked for years.
As I spent some time developing this idea I found that regular people don’t spend their entire lives online and most important, they don’t want to. They want one place where they can go to learn about the latest Software, Technology News, Hardware, How To Guides, etc. and the new focus of my site started taking shape.
Basically just like the tagline of my blog suggests, this is a geek site for those who don’t want to be one; A source for all things technology related for people who want to learn about and use the latest computer related technology, but don’t want to spend hours on the ‘Net looking for it, or learning how to use it.
So the Tech-Bitz.com you see here is the result of the combination both my original vision and the things I learned while originally putting this blog together.
What the Future Holds…
Since I have just started this blog, it is hard for me to tell you exactly where this is headed. I do have some pretty specific goals for this site.
I plan on continuing writing technology and computer related articles (both brief and in-depth), reporting on the latest technology news, adding video how-to guides and reviewing computer hardware, accessories and software.
I am sure of one thing however, and that I will continue to try to improve this blog on a daily basis for a number of reasons;
One - because I actually like blogging and adding to this site.
Two - once I get started on something I really want it to be the best I can possibly make it.
Three - I get to do something I normally do already, research and teach others about technology & computers and how to use them to the best of their ability.
Thank You for Reading Tech-Bitz.com
Todd.
